For Seventh Sanctum's 'Twilight of the Vampires' Contest.
Constantine's great-grandparents fled civilisation during the witch-hunts in the 17th century, and have since resided in a derelict mansion in the middle of the woods. They are scavengers, feeding off whatever lost camper/small child they can find. They developed for the city, and as such did not need to be as stealthy as their 'fully' wild cousins. It was quite possible for one of them to work their way up society, then drink dry whoever they fancied. Now, things don't work like that, and Constantine definitely still struggles with the concept of 'first come first serve'. As such, the best way to describe this family is 'feral', wild but not quite.
Is that a good enough description? I'm bad at translating thoughts into words.
